 Invitation

The organizing committee takes pleasure to invite you to participate in the event --- Physical & Theoretical Chemistry, which is one of the most important symposia of the 13th Asian Chemical Congress (13th ACC) (http://www.13acc.org/ ), which will be held in Shanghai, China, September 14-16, 2009.

The Asian Chemical Congress (ACC) is the academic conference of leading scientists from Asian-Pacific and other countries. The first ACC was held in Singapore in 1981. It is a biannual conference since the second ACC (Seoul, 1987). The 13th ACC will discuss the latest chemical research, development and education, aiming to build bridges for scientists worldwide to share research results, cultivate academic exchanges and foster new collaborations. It is expectation that this congress would encourage more information exchange, alignment of research priorities, as well as leadership development and international research collaboration.

The Physical & Theoretical Chemistry Symposium (PTCS) will focus mainly on Physical & Theoretical Chemistry related research for understanding and defining the underlying concepts, as well as their potential applications. The symposium is organized by Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in partnership with the Chinese Chemical Society (CCS), under the Auspices of the Federation of Asian Chemical Societies (FACS).

The PTCS is expected to attract worldwide experts to foster research in the fields of Physical & Theoretical Chemistry. The innovative ideas, new manners and the best results will be introduced to show the recent progress and frontier research of Physical Chemistry and Theoretical Chemistry, particularly in the aspects of Structural Chemistry, Cluster Chemistry, Theoretical Chemistry, Quantum Chemistry, Computational Chemistry, Catalysis, Surface Chemistry, Colloid & Interface Chemistry, Chemical Kinetics/Dynamics, Electrochemistry, Chemical Thermodynamics, Photochemistry/ Optical Physics, ChemoInformatics and Biological Physical Chemistry. Abstracts in the related aspects for oral presentations and posters are highly welcome to be submitted. The symposium will also offer a unique blend of the various scientific disciplines (physics, chemistry, materials, and theoretical simulations) that play essential roles in developing the promising future of physical chemistry and theoretical chemistry.
